Origin of the recipe
Kvass is a traditional Slavic drink with deep roots in Eastern European history. Its origins likely date back to before the 10th century, when sourdough began to be used in Rus' to ferment bread. Initially, kvass was made from rye or wheat bread soaked in water with the addition of sugar and various herbs.

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Add 4 tablespoons of chicory to a glass container.
Step 2:
Add 1 teaspoon of citric acid.
Step 3:
2 teaspoons dry yeast.
Step 4:
And 10 tablespoons of sugar.
Step 5:
Add 3 liters of water to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Step 6:
Pour the resulting liquid into plastic bottles and leave in the refrigerator until completely cool.
Step 7:
Your drink is ready!
