Blackcurrant juice
Origin of the recipe
This drink has been known in Rus' since ancient times. Its first mention appears in the famous 16th-century "Domostroy." Cooking tips
For greater benefits, replace sugar with honey, but add it after the fruit drink has cooled, otherwise it will lose its beneficial properties.
If you drain the juice from the crushed berries before boiling and add it to the fruit drink after it has cooled, the vitamins will be preserved and you will get a healthier drink.
You can also add fresh aromatic herbs to the fruit drink – mint, lemon balm, thyme.
