On hot summer days, you crave something refreshing, tasty, and healthy. Store-bought juices, lemonades, and even bottled iced teas contain too much sugar and chemical additives. It's better to make your own—it's so easy. Iced peach tea is one simple and all-natural option.
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Slice the peaches into thin wedges and place them in a saucepan.
Step 2:
Cover the sliced peaches with sugar and pour in 800 ml of water.
Step 3:
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Step 4:
Cook the peaches for two minutes and remove from heat.
Step 5:
Add mint and large-leaf black tea, stir and cool.
Step 6:
Strain the tea and dilute with cold water to taste.
Cooking tips
Serve in a glass with ice, peach slices and fresh mint leaves.
You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar to suit your taste, or use a sugar substitute that doesn't decompose when heated (such as stevioside or erythritol). You can experiment with the tea, choosing flavored options or using green tea.
