Funchoza, or glass noodles, are an excellent base for a variety of Asian-inspired dishes. Make hot funchoza for dinner with stewed vegetables and thin strips of fried meat. This Chinese-style dish is both unusual and delicious.
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Place the glass noodles in a bowl, pour boiling water over them and leave for five minutes.
Step 2:
Drain the water, rinse the funchose with cold water and cut into pieces with scissors.
Step 3:
Cut the meat into thin strips.
Step 4:
Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan and fry the meat until done.
Step 5:
Cut the onion into half rings, add to the meat and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Step 6:
Cut the bell pepper and cucumber into thin strips, and grate the carrots using a Korean carrot grater.
Step 7:
Add the bell pepper and carrots to the pan with the meat and onions and stir. Season with salt and stir.
Step 8:
Add ground coriander, black pepper and paprika. Stir.
Step 9:
Add cucumber and glass noodles to the pan. Stir.
Step 10:
Add soy sauce, stir and fry for another 2 minutes.
Cooking tips
If you don’t cut the funchose beforehand, it will be difficult to mix and eat.
Fry the meat carefully so that the thin strips do not burn.
