Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Place cream cheese in a bowl, add sour cream, salt and garlic powder.
Step 2:
Finely chop the dill, grate the lemon zest and add to the bowl. Stir.
Step 3:
Spread wheat tortillas with butter.
Step 4:
Spread the prepared cheese cream on the flatbread and top with a layer of smoked salmon.
Step 5:
Place the second flatbread butter side down over the fish, spread some cream on top and top with another layer of salmon.
Step 6:
Place another flatbread on top, butter side down, and press down with a board.
Step 7:
Wrap all the flatbreads in cling film and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Step 8:
Trim the stack to a square shape and cut into squares.
Step 9:
Pin the canapes with skewers.
Cooking tips
Use 23cm diameter tortillas.
Don't press the dough balls too hard, or you'll squeeze out the filling. They just need to stick together.
Cut the canapes with a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
