Step 1:
Cut the core out of the cabbage head.
Step 2:
Place the cabbage in the microwave for 20 minutes or boil it in a pot of water for 10 minutes.
Step 3:
Chop the onion, grate the carrot.
Step 4:
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes over low heat.
Step 5:
Add grated carrots to the onion, stir and fry for another 3 minutes.
Step 6:
Add salt, pepper, thyme and ground coriander, and stir.
Step 7:
Chop the garlic, dice the tomatoes and add to the pan, stir and simmer for 1 minute.
Step 8:
Pour in canned chopped tomatoes, sugar, bay leaf, stir and simmer for 3 minutes.
Step 9:
Pour in water, stir and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
Step 10:
Boil the rice. Place the minced meat in a bowl, add the cooked rice, finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, and mix with your hands.
Step 11:
Separate the boiled cabbage into leaves.
Step 12:
Lightly beat off the veins of the leaf, put a portion of the minced meat on it and wrap it carefully.

Place a layer of cabbage rolls in a deep dish, pour in the vegetable sauce, place another layer of cabbage rolls and cover with sauce.
