Sakhalin, and the Far East as a whole, is a fish kingdom. It's no surprise that even classic pelmeni have long been made with fish filling. Red fish is especially popular here, and pelmeni made with it are a true delicacy. Treat yourself to Far Eastern pelmeni with pink salmon, and take this opportunity to create a family celebration—making pelmeni together is so much fun!

Step-by-step recipe

Step 1:

Sakhalin-Style Dumplings - Step 1 Place flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, vegetable oil and boiling water in a bowl.

Cooking tips

You can simply pinch the edges of the dough, like vareniki, or you can additionally connect the corners to create a more beautiful and classic shape.

For added flavor, you can season the boiling water with pepper, bay leaf, and a little vinegar for a sour taste.
