Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Combine butter and sugar in a food processor.
Step 2:
Add egg and vanilla extract, mix.
Step 3:
Add flour and mix.
Step 4:
Add baking powder and mix.
Step 5:
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 6:
Place the multi-colored lollipops into thick plastic bags, cover with a towel and crush with a rolling pin.
Step 7:
Dust the surface with flour and roll out the dough.
Step 8:
Cut out the stars using the template.
Step 9:
Place the gingerbread stars on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and use the smaller template to cut out the centers.
Step 10:
Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Step 11:
Place candy crumbs into the holes.
Step 12:
Bake at 175 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Step 13:
Poke holes with the tip of a knife, attach the laces and hang the stars on the tree.
Cooking tips
When cutting and moving the stars, be careful not to damage them. Make the holes carefully to prevent the gingerbread from crumbling, and avoid making them on the very edges.
