To create a unique, oriental-inspired salad, you don't necessarily need exotic ingredients. Seaweed and crab sticks will provide you with the benefits of the sea. Wakame seaweed, the main ingredient in chuka salad, has a more pleasant flavor than the familiar kelp, and it doesn't have the same iodine aroma. It contains beneficial vitamins and minerals, a lot of protein, and almost no fat.
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut the crab sticks into cubes and place them in a bowl.
Step 2:
Roughly slice the cucumber.
Step 3:
Add the prepared chuka salad from the package to the bowl.
Step 4:
Add half a can of canned corn to the bowl.
Step 5:
Boil 2 eggs and cut them into small cubes.
Step 6:
Add chopped eggs to a bowl.
Step 7:
Add dried garlic, salt and mayonnaise to the salad to taste.
Step 8:
Stir the contents of the bowl.
Cooking tips
It is better to take fresh garlic and chop it finely or crush it using a garlic press.
Choose crab sticks that aren't too cheap, otherwise you'll ruin the dish – the taste of cheap crab sticks leaves much to be desired.
Chuka salad is a wakame seaweed salad that can be made at home or purchased at the store.
