Step-by-step recipe

Step 1:

Baked Pork Belly - Step 1 Combine marjoram, pepper mix and salt in a bowl.

Step 2:

Baked Pork Belly - Step 2 Place the brisket skin side up and make 5mm deep mesh cuts on it.

Step 3:

Baked Pork Belly - Step 3 Cut 3 large cloves of garlic lengthwise into four pieces, make punctures in the brisket with a knife and push the pieces of garlic into the meat.

Cooking tips

Making cuts in the thick skin of the brisket will help the ball cook better and soak up the spices.

You can use either dried or fresh thyme, it will still be delicious.
