Non-alcoholic glögg
Origin of the recipe
Glögg is a hot winter drink made with red wine and spices, popular in Scandinavia since the Middle Ages. Unlike mulled wine, it contains almonds or flaked almonds, which not only impart a distinctive aroma but also help retain heat longer. Brew non-alcoholic glögg with juice for your children's New Year's Eve.

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Remove the zest from one orange.
Step 2:
Chop the ginger.
Step 3:
Pour sugar into a saucepan, add orange zest, pieces of ginger, two cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, star anise, raisins and 100-150 ml of blackcurrant juice.
Step 4:
Stir, bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Step 5:
Pour in the remaining juice, stir and heat to 90-95 degrees.
Step 6:
Cool and let sit for 1 hour to 24 hours.
Step 7:
Warm it up.
Step 8:
Place a teaspoon of raisins and almonds in the bottom of the glasses, pour in the glögg and serve, garnished with a cinnamon stick.
Cooking tips
Don't pour all the juice into the pan at once - you want to create a concentrated spice infusion first.
The longer the glögg is steeped, the more aromatic it will be.
