Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan. Chop the onion and sauté it in the oil.
Step 2:
Before the onion turns yellow, add the ground meat and stir. Cover and let sit for a couple of minutes, then remove the lid and stir.
Step 3:
Once the water in the pan has evaporated, grate the carrots, add them to the meat, and stir. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Step 4:
Grate the tomato and add it to the minced meat. Add the tomato paste, pepper, and salt. Stir and pour in the hot water.
Step 5:
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and leave to cool.
Step 6:
Let's prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a clean saucepan and add the flour. Stir until the flour has completely absorbed the butter.
Step 7:
Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring the sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 8:
Add black pepper and salt. Turn off the heat and let cool.
Step 9:
Grease a baking sheet with oil and pour a ladleful of sauce into the bottom of the pan.
Step 10:
Place the filling on the sauce and cover with noodle sheets.
Step 11:
Grate the cheese and sprinkle it on top of the filling, except for the bottom layer.
Step 12:
Continue evenly layering sauce, filling, cheese, and noodles. Add the filling to the top layer.
Step 13:
Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes at 200 degrees.
Cooking tips
Some of the lasagna sheets should be boiled in advance, and the rest are placed directly into the pan with the other ingredients and sent to the oven.
After cooking, place the lasagna sheets on a paper towel to absorb excess liquid and prevent the dish from becoming watery.
To prevent the corners of the dough from burning in the oven, you can add sauce to the top layer of the lasagna, covering its edges with sauce, and sprinkle the horizontal part with grated cheese.
