Since ancient times, it's been known that frying or baking something that's delicious raw adds a whole new flavor to the dish. Baking regular bananas and adding them to a smoothie gives the drink the flavor of a classic French dessert with a caramelized crust—but without the added sugar!

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Peel and slice 2 bananas.
Step 2:
Place the sliced bananas in a bowl and place in the freezer until the bananas are completely frozen.
Step 3:
Line a baking sheet with foil, place the unpeeled banana on the foil and bake for 10 minutes at 175 degrees.
Step 4:
Grind frozen bananas in a blender.
Step 5:
Add milk to the blender and add the seeds from the vanilla bean.
Step 6:
Peel the baked banana and add it to the blender.
Step 7:
Blend the contents of the blender until smooth.
Cooking tips
If you can’t get a vanilla bean, you can use vanillin.
It's crucial to achieve a smooth consistency when using a blender. Less powerful blenders will take longer, but be patient—it will result in a better flavor.
