Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Prepare the marinade: mix honey, soy sauce, vegetable oil, rosemary, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Step 2:
Rinse and dry the duck breasts thoroughly. Make cross-shaped cuts in the skin, avoiding the fillet itself.
Step 3:
Rub the duck with the marinade on all sides. Let it sit for several hours.
Step 4:
Heat a frying pan without oil. Fry the breasts, skin side down, until golden brown.
Step 5:
Place the duck in a baking dish, wrapping it in foil. Drizzle the remaining marinade over the top.
Step 6:
Bake in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Step 7:
Remove the duck from the oven and cover completely with foil.
Step 8:
Let the duck rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Step 9:
Cut the duck fillet into thin slices and serve.
Cooking tips
If you want a crispier crust, increase the oven temperature for the last 5 minutes.
Don't overdo it with salt, as soy sauce already contains salt.
Serve the dish immediately after cooking, while the duck is hot.
You can use orange juice instead of lemon juice.
For variety, make several marinade variations: with honey and mustard or with apples.
These duck breasts are perfect with mashed potatoes or vegetables.
