How to cook pasta properly
Origin of the recipe
Pasta's ancestors are believed to have originated in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, where people used flour and water to make dough. However, it was in Italy that pasta acquired its modern form. The first mentions of pasta in Italy date back to the 13th century. At this time, pasta became popular in the southern regions of the country, especially in Sicily. Italians began using durum wheat to produce pasta, which made it more resilient to cooking.
