Step 1:
Melt the butter in a frying pan.
Step 2:
Finely chop the onion, place in a frying pan and fry for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
Step 3:
Grate the carrots, add to the pan, stir and fry for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.
Step 4:
Place the minced meat in the pan, stir and fry for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Step 5:
Add salt, pepper, stir and fry for another 2 minutes over medium heat.
Step 6:
Place the dry pasta, pour in water, stir, bring to a boil, cover and cook over low heat until done. 
Cooking tips
Be careful not to overcook the onions, otherwise they will taste bitter. Use only high-quality, fresh ground meat. If you're concerned about calories, avoid pork. Serve the macaroni and cheese hot, sprinkled with herbs or grated cheese.
