Pasta nests with minced meat in a frying pan with tomato sauce

In Italy, tagliatelle, a flat pasta noodle, is the basis for a wide variety of dishes, and these pan-fried nests of minced meat are a favorite. This simple and delicious dinner option is quick to prepare, as these days you don't have to "make" these nests yourself!

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Finely chop the onion.
Step 2:
Place the pasta nests in the pan.
Step 3:
Place the minced meat in a bowl, add the onion, salt, pepper and knead thoroughly with your hands.
Step 4:
Place a portion of minced meat into each nest.
Step 5:
In a bowl, combine vegetable oil, tomato paste, salt, sugar, and tomato juice. Mix well.
Step 6:
Place the pan on the stove, pour the sauce over the nests, cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
Step 7:
Sprinkle the nests with finely chopped dill and remove from heat.
Cooking tips
Any minced meat will do for the nests, but it’s best to use “homemade” beef and pork.
Do not remove the lid during cooking, otherwise the tops of the nests will not cook through.
