Polish potato soup
Origin of the recipe
A wide variety of soups are an important part of traditional Polish cuisine. They often contain milk, cream, or sour cream, sometimes along with flour, and instead of meat, they use sausage, the famous smoked sausage, or even regular frankfurters. Potatoes, which appeared in Poland in the 18th century and gradually became very popular, though not as much as in neighboring Belarus, make any soup thicker and more filling.

Cooking tips
You can replace the sausage with ham, but be careful when choosing ham, as too tender ham may fall apart.
You can also replace the sausage with hot dogs or sausages, but it is best to choose smoked varieties.
The broth doesn't necessarily have to be meat, you can use chicken or even vegetable broth.
