Step-by-step recipe

Step 1:

Grind the chicken liver in a meat grinder or blender.

Step 2:

Add salt, eggs, milk and vegetable oil to the liver, mix again and pour into a deep bowl.

Step 3:

Gradually add flour, whisking. Let the dough rest for 15-20 minutes.

Step 4:

Finely chop the onion and fry in a frying pan in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Step 5:

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, add to the onion and fry over medium heat for another 10 minutes.

Step 6:

Fry the liver pancakes in a dry frying pan.

Step 7:

Mix fried vegetables with mayonnaise.

Step 8:

Assemble the cake, spreading the filling on each pancake.

Step 9:

Chop the parsley, spread the last layer with mayonnaise and garnish with parsley.

Step 10:

Place the cake in the refrigerator to soak for 3 hours.

Cooking tips

Do not overcook the vegetables, otherwise they will become bitter.

To fry pancakes, you don’t need to pour vegetable oil into the frying pan – it’s already in the batter.

Fry the pancakes on both sides. For speed, you can fry the pancakes in two pans of the same diameter.
