Braided pies with apple and nuts
Origin of the recipe
In Russia and other Slavic countries, pirozhki have a long history. They became popular due to their ease of preparation and the ability to use a variety of fillings, such as meat, vegetables, berries, and fruits. The technique of braiding the dough for pirozhki also has its roots in traditional baking. Braided pastries look impressive and can be both sweet and savory. This method allows not only for the decoration of the pirozhki but also for the even distribution of the filling.
