Step-by-step recipe

Step 1:

Pour warm milk into a bowl.

Step 2:

Add sugar.

Step 3:

Crumble fresh yeast.

Step 4:

Pour in vegetable oil.

Step 5:

Add the egg. #### Step 6: Whisk.

Step 7:

Gradually add flour. Add salt.

Step 8:

Mix and knead the dough by hand in a bowl for 6 minutes. Then let it rest, covered, for 40 minutes.

Step 9:

Turn the dough out onto a surface and divide into 16 equal pieces.

Step 10:

Roll into balls.

Step 11:

Place the ball on a surface and knead it into a circle with your hands.

Step 12:

Prepare equal amounts of boiled pork and boiled chicken thighs with salt and spices in advance.

Step 13:

Pass all the meat through a meat grinder.

Step 14:

Finely chop the onion, place in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil, add salt, sugar and pepper.

Step 15:

Fry the onion in a frying pan until translucent and golden brown.

Step 16:

Blend the fried onions with an immersion blender.

Step 17:

Add the onion puree to the minced meat, pour in the broth and thoroughly mix the meat filling until smooth.

Step 18:

Roll the filling into a ball and place it on a circle of dough.

Step 19:

Carefully pinch and flatten the pie. Repeat with all the pie crusts.

Step 20:

Cover the blanks with a towel and let rest for 20 minutes.

Step 21:

Mix the yolk with milk.

Step 22:

Brush the pies with the egg mixture.

Step 23:

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Step 24:

Brush the pies with melted butter, cover with foil and let cool.

Cooking tips

It's best to roll the balls by folding the dough inward. Be careful not to overcook the onions, or they will become bitter. It's best to cover the finished dough balls with a towel while you work with each pie.
