Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar and beat with a mixer until lightly foamed.
Step 2:
Add cottage cheese and beat until smooth.
Step 3:
Add melted butter and sour cream, mix again.
Step 4:
In a clean bowl, combine flour and baking powder, add to the curd mixture and mix with a mixer.
Step 5:
Grease a muffin tin with butter and sprinkle with flour.
Step 6:
Spread the dough evenly in the pan.
Step 7:
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 60-80 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature by 10 degrees Celsius (1/2 inch) for the last 20 minutes.
Step 8:
Cool the cake, turn it out onto a plate, remove the pan and sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar.
Cooking tips
If desired, the cottage cheese can be pre-ground in a blender.
If you bake a cake in a silicone mold, you don’t need to grease or flour it.
It is better to sprinkle powdered sugar on a well-cooled cake so that it does not bake.
