Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Break 4 eggs into a bowl and beat them with a mixer.
Step 2:
When the eggs start to foam, start adding sugar little by little, stirring constantly.
Step 3:
While whisking continuously, add the butter.
Step 4:
When a stable foam appears, add the juice and zest of the oranges.
Step 5:
Add salt, mix, add flour and baking powder.
Step 6:
When the dough has a uniform color, grease the baking pan with butter and pour the dough into it.
Step 7:
Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees.
Cooking tips
When zesting oranges, try to avoid the white part of the zest. It's bitter.
While you're working with the dough, preheat the oven. Don't place the baked goods in a cold oven.
Do not slam the oven door or move the rack or baking sheet the cake is on – it may settle.
