Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Place the milk on the fire and bring to a boil.
Step 2:
Place the locust bulbs in boiling milk and cook for a while.
Step 3:
Pour the milk with the locust into a large container and, while stirring, add the remaining ingredients – sour cream, sugar, cottage cheese, raisins and diced gingerbread.
Step 4:
While still stirring, add the grated bird cherry by eye until a distinct color appears.
Step 5:
Serve warm or frozen.
Cooking tips
Nowadays, the edible bulbs of the wild locust lily are increasingly being replaced in this recipe with peeled and sliced apples.
It is better to pre-grind the cottage cheese by passing it through a meat grinder or blender.
