If you've recently become a vegetarian or are observing Lent but are used to dressing your salads with mayonnaise, there's no need to give it up! A delicious, thick mayonnaise made from only plant-based ingredients can be made in just five minutes.
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Pour the liquid from the can of green peas into the blender container.
Step 2:
Add vegetable oil, salt, sugar, mustard.
Step 3:
Blend for one minute.
Step 4:
Add vinegar and stir again.
Step 5:
Pour the mayonnaise into a jar and store in the refrigerator.
Cooking tips
Instead of regular vinegar, you can take a tablespoon of 6% apple cider vinegar or 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
The more vegetable oil you add, the thicker the mayonnaise will be.
Beat until the mixture becomes white, thick and smooth.
