Potato salad with herring and pickles
Origin of the recipe
Potato dishes have become so ingrained in our cuisine that it's almost impossible to believe they have foreign origins. Potato salads are an excellent choice for a filling appetizer or main course. It's also hard to imagine a Russian holiday table without two more ingredients—herring and pickles. All together, you and your guests will be delighted, even if you're not a very experienced cook.

It is better to choose small potatoes, also known as baby potatoes.
When chopping ingredients, cut them into uniform sizes. This will make the salad more uniform and enjoyable to eat.
