Cooking tips
For a richer flavor, add a pinch of black pepper or a squeeze of lemon juice before mixing the ingredients. This will add a slight tartness and refreshing flavor to the salad.
The main mistake is using too much mayonnaise. Add it gradually to prevent the salad from becoming too runny. Also, cut all ingredients into equal sizes to ensure each piece is juicy and delicious.
If you don't have crab sticks, you can substitute diced crab meat. Grapefruit or pineapple will work in place of the orange. For a vegetarian version, simply omit the crab sticks.
Serve the salad as a mound, garnished with herbs or olives. For a more festive look, arrange it in a salad bowl or serve it in individual bowls.
