Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
In a bowl, beat the eggs, add sugar, and salt. Beat until smooth, then gradually whisk in the milk. These simple ingredients make perfect classic pancakes.
Step 2:
Sift the flour into the liquid mixture and whisk thoroughly until you have a smooth batter the consistency of sour cream. Don't rush—it's important to avoid any lumps.
Step 3:
Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it over medium heat. The right temperature is the key to a golden brown crust without burning.
Step 4:
Spoon portions of batter into the pan. Fry the pancakes until bubbles appear on the surface and the bottom is golden brown.
Step 5:
Carefully flip the pancakes with a spatula and fry the other side until cooked through. Place the finished pancakes on a plate.
Step 6:
Continue frying until the batter is used up, adding more oil as needed. This way, you can cook a whole batch in a short time.
Cooking tips
Let the dough sit for 15–20 minutes – the pancakes will become even more tender.
Don't make them too thick—classic pancakes should be moderately fluffy, but not dense.
Serve hot with jam, sour cream or honey – it’s the perfect accompaniment.
Your first pancake might not turn out right—that's okay! The second time, everything will go like clockwork.
