Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vegetable oil and brown sugar.
Step 2:
Grate the ginger root on a fine grater.
Step 3:
Chop the garlic.
Step 4:
Sprinkle the garlic and ginger with salt and sugar and grind them with the spices.
Step 5:
Add garlic and ginger to the sauce and stir.
Step 6:
Cut the chicken into pieces and pour the sauce over it. Stir.
Step 7:
Place a plate over the chicken to apply pressure to the chicken.
Step 8:
Marinate the chicken under light weight for 8-12 hours.
Step 9:
Place parchment paper on a baking sheet, place a wire rack on it, and place the chicken on it.
Step 10:
Bake the chicken for 40-50 minutes at 180-200 degrees.
Cooking tips
Chicken wings are best for chicken. Their skin prevents them from drying out, and their size ensures they marinate and cook through well.
If you can't press down on the chicken while marinating, cover it with plastic wrap. This will keep air out and seal the dish tightly.
