Chicken hearts in sour cream

Chicken hearts are inexpensive and readily available, and dishes made with them are healthy and suitable for dietary use. Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut the hearts by cutting them in half (it’s easy to do this with scissors or a small kitchen knife) and rinsing them in cold water.
Step 2:
Rinse them and then dry them.
Step 3:
Fry for 5 minutes over medium heat using 1 tbsp vegetable oil and half of the meat.
Step 4:
Place the meat in a bowl and drain the broth. Fry the other half.
Step 5:
Chop the onion and fry in the oil left over from the hearts for 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
Step 6:
Add the garlic and cook for another 1 minute over medium heat.
Step 7:
Place the hearts back in the pan. Sprinkle with oregano, basil, black pepper, and salt.
Step 8:
Add sour cream and stir.
Step 9:
Cook over medium heat until done, about 10 minutes.
Cooking tips
The dish goes well with a variety of side dishes: mashed potatoes, crumbly buckwheat porridge, bulgur or boiled pasta.
You can add finely chopped mushrooms to the sour cream sauce – this will give the dish a light mushroom flavor and aroma.
