Chicken shashlik with kefir

Grilled chicken shashlik is incredibly easy to make. The best marinade for chicken breast shashlik is regular kefir, French mustard, a little cumin, and curry powder. Chicken shashlik made with kefir turns out golden brown, flavorful, and very tender.

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut the chicken fillet into pieces of approximately the same size and place in a container.
Step 2:
Add salt to taste, a few teaspoons of Dijon mustard, curry and full-fat kefir.
Step 3:
Grind some cumin in a mortar and add to the container.
Step 4:
Grate the garlic into a container, mix thoroughly, cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
Step 5:
Thread the chicken onto skewers and grill the shashlik.
Cooking tips
The meat should not float in kefir; there should be enough of it to soak it well.
Dilute the remaining marinade with cold water and pour it over the shashlik while frying.
