Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Break 2 eggs into a bowl and whisk.
Step 2:
Add sugar and vegetable oil, mix with a whisk.
Step 3:
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt mixture into a bowl through a sieve. Mix and knead the dough by hand in the bowl.
Step 4:
Dust the surface with flour, turn out the dough and divide into two parts.
Step 5:
Roll out half of the dough with a rolling pin and place the circle of dough in the pan, forming sides 3 cm high, trimming the edges evenly with a knife.
Step 6:
Make frequent pricks on the bottom with a fork.
Step 7:
Roll out the second part of the dough into a rectangle measuring 30 x 15 cm.
Step 8:
Cut the dough into 2.5 cm strips.
Step 9:
Cut two large apples in half, remove the core and cut into slices.
Step 10:
Spread apricot jam on the bottom of the pie.
Step 11:
Place the apple slices around the edge of the pan and cover them with strips of dough.
Step 12:
Place another ring of apple slices and cover with dough.
Step 13:
Repeat until you reach the center to create a flower shape.
Step 14:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake for 40-45 minutes.
Step 15:
Spread jam over the pie and serve.
Cooking tips
A 24 cm diameter springform pan is best for the pie.
Place the apples at a slight angle to create rose petals.
