Millet is the hulled grain of millet, a grain cultivated since ancient times. This grain came to Russia from China in the early Middle Ages. Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Rinse the millet thoroughly.
Step 2:
Heat a frying pan, add millet and fry for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Step 3:
Pour the cereal into a saucepan, add two glasses of water, stir, bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes over low heat.
Step 4:
Add a glass of milk and half of the butter, stir.
Step 5:
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.
Step 6:
Add sugar, salt, remaining butter.
Step 7:
Turn off the stove, stir, cover and leave for 15 minutes.
Cooking tips
When rinsing millet, drain the water 6-8 times until it becomes clear.
Be careful that the millet does not burn in the pan or stick to the bottom of the pan; do not make the heat too high.
