Step-by-step recipe:
Step 1:
Sift rice flour into a bowl.
Step 2:
Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
Step 3:
Pour boiling water into the flour, stirring constantly until lumps form.
Step 4:
Knead the dough until it becomes smooth.
Step 5:
Grease a clean, flat surface with oil and knead the dough on it.
Step 6:
Grease the steamer rack with vegetable oil.
Step 7:
Steam the dough for 20 minutes, from the moment the water boils.
Step 8:
Cut the finished, still hot dough into 2-3 pieces.
Step 9:
Roll the cut pieces into sticks.
Step 10:
Cut the rolled out dough into pieces 4-5 cm long.
Cooking tips:
The dough cut after steaming does not stick together and can be conveniently stored in the freezer.
If you don't have a steamer, you can simplify the process and form the tteoks directly into 4-5 cm long bars. Then, boil them for 1 minute in boiling water and cool them in cold water.
