Baked apples with cinnamon, raisins and nuts
Origin of the recipe
Baked apples are a traditional holiday treat for children in Europe and Russia, and adults enjoy them too. Baked apples with fillings came to Russian cuisine from Germany, where they were traditionally served at Christmas. Core-cut apples are filled with a mixture of nuts, honey, or jam with spices—the fillings can be varied.
