Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Place ground beef and chicken in a bowl. Beat in two eggs.
Step 2:
Beat in breadcrumbs, sour cream, salt, ground coriander, black pepper and herbes de Provence.
Step 3:
Finely chop the onion.
Step 4:
Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan and add the onion.
Step 5:
Finely dice the carrots and add them to the pan. Lightly fry, stirring.
Step 6:
Add the vegetables to the bowl with the meat and mix everything together with your hand.
Step 7:
Chop the parsley and add it to the bowl. Mix with your hand.
Step 8:
Grease a baking dish with butter and spread the minced meat evenly.
Step 9:
Cut the mozzarella into large cubes. Place the cubes into the filling in the pan and smooth the top.
Step 10:
Grease the minced meat in the pan with ketchup.
Step 11:
Bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
Step 12:
Place the arugula in a bowl. Cut the onion into half rings and add to the bowl.
Step 13:
Cut cherry tomatoes into quarters and add to a bowl.
Step 14:
Pour in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, season with salt and pepper and stir.
Step 15:
Sprinkle the salad with grated Parmesan.
Step 16:
Cut the casserole into slices and serve with salad.
Cooking tips
It is better to mix the minced meat with spices using a gloved hand so that your hand does not get stained or smell of the spices.
Don't overcook the onions and carrots; they should only soften slightly and will be ready in the oven.
