Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Make mashed potatoes and prepare ingredients.
Step 2:
Cut the mushrooms and onions into small cubes, finely chop the dill.
Step 3:
Pour some vegetable oil into the frying pan, add onion and mushrooms, salt and pepper to taste, stir and fry for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4:
Add herbs and stir.
Step 5:
Add sour cream, stir and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Step 6:
Grease a baking dish, put in the mashed potatoes, smooth them out with a spatula and form the sides.
Step 7:
Place the stewed mushrooms into the pan, smooth them out and cover with sour cream.
Step 8:
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle it over the casserole.
Step 9:
Bake for 20-25 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Cooking tips
For mashed potatoes you will need 4-5 potatoes.
It is best to use cheddar cheese for the casserole, but any hard cheese will do.
