Stale Bread Casserole in a Frying Pan

If you were planning on making toast for breakfast but discovered your bread has gone stale, no problem! Instead of trying to revive it by reheating it in the microwave, try a unique breakfast – a hearty bread casserole with eggs, milk, and cheese!

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Crumble stale toast bread into a bowl.
Step 2:
Break two eggs into a clean bowl, add paprika, vegetable oil, milk, salt, pepper and whisk.
Step 3:
Finely chop the dill and add it to the bowl with the egg mixture, stir.
Step 4:
Pour the mixture over the crumbled bread and stir.
Step 5:
Grease the frying pan with butter, pour in the mixture and smooth it out.
Step 6:
Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 7:
Turn the casserole over with a plate, sprinkle with grated cheese, cover and cook for another 3 minutes over low heat.
Step 8:
Serve sprinkled with parsley.
Cooking tips
For the casserole, either stale white bread or a loaf of bread will do.
Be sure to cook the casserole covered and over low heat to avoid drying it out.
