Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Prepare the minced meat: add salt, black pepper, bell pepper, turmeric, garlic and eggs to the meat.
Step 2:
Mix the minced meat well with your hands for 5 minutes.
Step 3:
Add canned peas, corn and chopped herbs to the minced meat.
Step 4:
Mix all ingredients again.
Step 5:
Place the minced meat in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, covering it with film.
Step 6:
Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
Step 7:
Arrange the bacon strips in a wreath shape.
Step 8:
Place half of the minced meat on top of the bacon, also in the shape of a wreath.
Step 9:
Prepare the filling: grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater, add the cream cheese and mix.
Step 10:
Place the filling on the minced meat.
Step 11:
Place the remaining minced meat on top of the filling.
Step 12:
Form a roll by wrapping the bacon around the minced meat.
Step 13:
Cover the roll with parchment paper and aluminum foil.
Step 14:
Bake in the oven at 180°C for 60 minutes.
Step 15:
Prepare the glaze: mix tomato sauce, soy sauce and honey.
Step 16:
Brush the roll with glaze.
Step 17:
Sprinkle the roll with sesame seeds.
Step 18:
Bake in the oven until golden brown.
Step 19:
Garnish the roll with parsley and pomegranate seeds.
Cooking tips
If you want a crispier crust, increase the oven temperature for the last 5 minutes.
Serve the dish immediately after cooking, while the meat is hot.
Other types of meat can be used instead of bacon.
For variety, make several filling options: with mushrooms or with cheese.
