Beef bone-in soup is very rich and flavorful. This very simple soup is easy to make, even for the most inexperienced cook. This hearty beef soup will keep you energized all day long until dinner.
Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Place the beef on the bone in a saucepan.
Step 2:
Pour in water, bring to a boil and skim off any excess.
Step 3:
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2.5 hours on low heat.
Step 4:
Remove the meat from the soup and remove the bones, then strain the broth.
Step 5:
Cut the carrots into half-slices and the onion and potatoes into large pieces.
Step 6:
Add salt, pepper, lava leaf and stir.
Step 7:
Add the meat, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.
Step 8:
Remove the bay leaf, add chopped garlic, parsley and green onions.
Cooking tips
Use small pieces of beef shank for the soup, this way the soup will be rich and tasty.
Don't forget to skim off the scum, otherwise the soup will become cloudy and tasteless.
You can boil the onion whole, without chopping it, and then remove it.
