Origin of the recipe

Hawaiian pizza, despite its name, was actually invented in Canada in 1962. It was created by Greek immigrant Samuel Panopoulos, who worked in a pizzeria in Ontario. He chose the name "Hawaiian" because of the use of pineapple, which at the time was associated with the exotic fruit of Hawaii. This unusual combination of sweet pineapple and salty ham (or chicken, in our case) caused controversy but quickly gained popularity around the world. Interestingly, in Italy, the birthplace of pizza, this version of the dish is considered quite controversial, as traditional Italian cuisine does not combine fruit with meat in main courses.

After baking, let the pizza cool slightly to prevent it from falling apart when sliced ​​and to maintain its shape. This will make your dish more appealing and easier to serve.
