##Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Peel the apples, cut them into cubes and place them in a bowl, drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, add cognac, stir and let stand for 10 minutes.
Step 2:
Heat butter in a frying pan and lightly fry the apples for 3-4 minutes.
Step 3:
Defrost the filo dough and separate it into individual sheets.
Step 4:
Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and lightly grease with oil.
Step 5:
Place five sheets of dough on the bottom, brushing each with melted butter.
Step 6:
Place the apple filling, smooth it out, and fold the edges of the dough over it. Brush with butter.
Step 7:
Place the remaining sheets of dough on top, greasing with oil and not smoothing them out.
Step 8:
Brush the top of the pie with egg.
Step 9:
Bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
Cooking tips
Any strong alcohol will do for the filling, but flavored alcohol is better.
Work quickly with the phyllo dough to prevent it from drying out.
If you want the pie to be sweeter, lightly sprinkle each layer with sugar.
