Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Cut the meat into cubes.
Step 2:
Cut the onion into half rings, place in a bowl, add salt and crush with your hands.
Step 3:
Place the meat in a deep bowl, add spices and black pepper.
Step 4:
Add onion and crushed tomatoes in their own juice to the meat. Stir.
Step 5:
Cover the bowl and leave to marinate in a cool place for at least 3 hours.
Step 6:
Soak wooden skewers in hot water for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7:
Thread the meat onto skewers and place them on a baking sheet with a little water.
Step 8:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the shashlik on it.
Step 9:
After 20 minutes, turn the kebab over and cook for another 10 minutes.
Cooking tips
Cut the meat smaller than for regular shashlik.
It's best to marinate the meat overnight. Finally, you can turn on the grill and brown the shashlik for another 5-7 minutes.
You can fry the shashlik on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
