Shish kebab in a jar in the oven
Origin of the recipe
Don't worry if you can't get out for a barbecue—you have an oven! For juicy shashlik, place the skewers in a regular glass jar—the juices will simply have nowhere to escape! Shashlik cooked in a jar won't have a crispy crust or smoky flavor, but this can easily be remedied by lightly searing the meat in a frying pan and using liquid smoke.
