Dilly's Chicken Sandwich
Origin of the recipe
A sandwich is a "covered sandwich," a staple of English and American cuisine. Legend has it that it's named after the 17th-century Earl of Sandwich, an avid gambler who enjoyed snacking while playing and invented the idea of covering his sandwiches with a second piece of bread to protect his cards from greasy fingers. These days, sandwiches are most often made with toasted bread and a variety of sauces and fillings.

Cooking tips
A sandwich is an unpretentious dish; its elements can be changed, so feel free to experiment with ingredients and their quantities, as long as they go well together and fit on the bread and in your mouth.
When frying a loaf, turn it frequently to prevent it from burning; burnt bread can ruin the entire pleasure of the snack.
