Classic peanut butter and jam sandwich
Origin of the recipe
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a classic American breakfast, often made for children before school, and older schoolchildren even make their own. Still somewhat exotic in our region, peanut butter is almost a cult staple of American cuisine; January 24th is celebrated as National Peanut Butter Day in the United States.

Cooking tips
You can use any flavor of jam you like.
When toasting bread, keep in mind that some people prefer it browned on both sides. If you prefer it that way, you'll need to butter both sides as well. There won't be much butter left in the pan; the bread will soak it up nicely.
