Sandwich Monte Cristo
Origin of the recipe
The Monte Cristo sandwich, or "French sandwich," is an American version of the truly French croque-monsieur. Its distinctive feature is that the assembled sandwich is dipped in an egg-and-milk mixture and fried. This snack gained its greatest popularity after it was first served at Disneyland with orange sauce.

Cooking tips
When toasting a sandwich, take your time. It's important not to overcook it and allow the heat to penetrate.
When dipping your sandwich, don't delay. If you soak it too long, the bread may become soggy and fall apart.
The ingredients in the recipe are for 2-3 sandwiches.
