Chinese-style fried cabbage with egg

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Thinly slice (or shred) the cabbage.
Step 2:
Cut the carrots into thin sticks, or grate them using a Korean carrot grater.
Step 3:
Finely chop the green onions.
Step 4:
Break the eggs into a bowl, add salt and beat with a fork.
Step 5:
Heat a frying pan on the stove. Pour 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the pan and pour the eggs into the oil.
Step 6:
Fry the eggs for 1-2 minutes over medium heat, stirring and scraping any curdled parts off the bottom of the pan.
Step 7:
Remove the eggs from the pan. Pour 1.5 tablespoons of oil into the pan. Add the chopped green onions.
Step 8:
Crush the garlic and add it to the green onions. Stir.
Step 9:
Add the chopped carrots to the onion and garlic. Fry the vegetables for 1 minute over medium heat.
Step 10:
Add the cabbage to the pan. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes over high heat.
Step 11:
Place the eggs on top of the cabbage, add soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds and stir.
Step 12:
Cook for 1 minute over high heat. Sprinkle with the remaining green onions and serve.
Cooking tips
It's best to choose cabbage based on your preferences. Young cabbage tends to fall apart and overcook more easily, while older cabbage will hold its shape better.
Add salt very carefully, it’s very easy to oversalt cabbage without noticing it.
