This classic Slavic dish is especially popular in Russia and Ukraine. It's made with readily available ingredients and often includes leftover cooked meat and seasonal vegetables.

Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Prepare the egg mixture. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and semolina, and whisk until smooth.
Step 2:
Peel and finely chop the onion. Grate the carrots. Dice the potatoes.
Step 3:
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the onion until translucent, then add the carrots and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4:
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 5:
Add the fried vegetables and shredded chicken to the pan. Stir.
Step 6:
Gradually pour the egg mixture into the boiling soup, stirring with a spoon until soft flakes form.
Step 7:
Cook the soup for another 5 minutes. Season to taste, ladle into bowls, and garnish with herbs.
Cooking tips:
For a more delicate taste, add a little cream or milk.
Use fresh vegetables - this will make the dish more aromatic and delicious.
