Step-by-step recipe
Step 1:
Clean and gut the mullet, make parallel cuts on both sides of the carcasses.
Step 2:
Grind the garlic with salt in a mortar, pour in vegetable oil and grind again.
Step 3:
Chop the parsley, add it to the mortar and grind it.
Step 4:
Squeeze lemon juice into a mortar and grind.
Step 5:
Rub the mullet carcasses with the prepared mixture inside and out.
Step 6:
Cut the lemon into half slices and place them inside the carcasses.
Step 7:
Cut the tomato into small cubes and place inside the fish.
Step 8:
Line a baking sheet with a non-stick mat, place the fish on it and bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.
Step 9:
Cut the onion into thin half rings, chop the mint and parsley leaves and place in a bowl.
Step 10:
Add apple cider vinegar, salt, rub with your hands and leave to marinate.
Step 11:
Serve the mullet with pickled onions and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Cooking tips
Grind all the ingredients for marinating the fish thoroughly in a mortar into a paste.
Before stuffing the fish, it is better to leave it to marinate for 30-40 minutes.
